About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop embedded software for a high-precision switching system used in satellite technology
Take responsibility for the software architecture and its continuous advancement
Design and further develop the software design, development processes, and integration processes
Select and define suitable communication standards, interfaces, and design principles
Develop robust and reliable software solutions for demanding operating conditions in space applications
Work closely with electronics, systems engineering, and verification teams
Contribute technically to the overall system design and translate requirements into scalable software solutions
Support the entire development process, from concept and architecture through implementation, integration, and verification

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, communications engineering, or a comparable technical field
Several years of professional experience in embedded software development, ideally for safety-critical or technically sophisticated systems
Strong knowledge of software architecture and software design for embedded systems
Very good programming skills in C/C++
Experience in low-level, hardware-near software development
Experience selecting and applying suitable communication protocols, interfaces, and standards
Proficiency with modern development, version control, and debugging tools
Experience with real-time systems, microcontrollers, and/or RTOS is an advantage
Knowledge and/or self-assessed proficiency in Embedded Linux, C, C++, technical responsibility, hardware-near development, Git, CMake, GCC, GDB, Yocto, and RTOS
