About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Improve infrastructure as part of the Industrial Commercial Energy Team
  • Design and support construction of natural gas pipelines
  • Prepare computer-generated natural gas pipeline and mechanical working drawings with AutoCAD
  • Generate bills of materials
  • Create estimated project time requirements
  • Work with the design team
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
  • Conduct on-site field walks as needed
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Assist with proposal preparation
  • Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings, including progress, plan review, and pre-construction meetings
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Grow and maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
  • 4–5 years of similar work experience required
  • Professional Engineer License preferred
  • Experience with the design and construction of natural gas pipelines
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
  • Ability to conduct on-site field walks as needed
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment
