About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of production units
  • Lead maintenance activities and optimize operations
  • Manage the work order lifecycle: planning, scheduling, execution, and documentation
  • Oversee the procurement and distribution of tools, consumables, and critical spare parts
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, corrective interventions, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements
  • Lead and support regulatory, compliance, and third-party inspections
  • Develop and maintain a site-monitoring program, including visits, performance reviews, and operational audits
  • Participate in start-ups, annual maintenance activities, and planned outages
  • Manage budgets and contribute to their development
  • Collaborate with teams in Canada, France, and the United States to improve maintenance strategies, equipment design, and best practices
  • Create, update, and enforce operating and maintenance procedures
  • Define, track, and present KPIs related to maintenance efficiency, equipment reliability, and team performance
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Determine staffing needs, participate in recruitment, and onboard new employees
  • Manage the team, set objectives, support professional development, lead meetings, and evaluate performance
  • Allocate tasks and travel assignments based on expertise and workload
  • Coordinate task progress, manage schedules, anticipate roadblocks, and optimize processes
  • Work with the Director of Operations and Maintenance and support functions
  • Monitor performance indicators, conduct annual reviews, and ensure the team meets its objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or diploma in industrial maintenance or a related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience in industrial mechanics
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Good physical condition required (working at heights and handling heavy loads)
  • Availability to travel to operating sites
  • Participation in annual maintenance operations
  • Strong English language skills essential for communicating with English-speaking employees, clients, and suppliers, as well as with colleagues at other subsidiaries
