About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the execution of industrial projects valued at over $50 million, from engineering through commissioning
  • Lead communications with clients, partners, regulatory authorities, and government agencies
  • Manage costs, schedules, quality, and risks
  • Lead preliminary studies and processes related to obtaining applicable permits, authorizations, and grants
  • Define project delivery, procurement, and work execution strategies
  • Coordinate internal teams, engineering consulting firms, and contractors
  • Oversee construction, interconnection, and commissioning activities
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Ensure client and partner satisfaction
  • Negotiate contractual changes with support from legal and commercial teams
  • Coordinate the entire project life cycle, from preliminary studies through commercial commissioning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in engineering or project management
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Significant experience in the energy or gas sector, or in project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Leadership, thoroughness, responsiveness, and customer focus
  • ASP Construction card (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft tools, particularly MS Project
  • Knowledge of ASME standards, piping, and P&ID interpretation
  • Valid driver’s license
