About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage acquisition timelines with conveyancing lawyers and agents' or vendors' conveyancing lawyers
- Administer changes of ownership for utilities, property tax, and insurance
- Coordinate repairs, renovation works, and property preparation for tenancy
- Coordinate with professional property managers, building management, and developers
- Source, onboard, and monitor third-party property managers and renovators
- Hold service providers accountable to performance, reporting, service, and timely delivery standards
- Perform site visits to review property and renovation quality
- Manage property-manager transitions and renovator-to-property-manager handovers
- Represent Wahed day to day with service providers and stakeholders
- Assist the legal team with service agreements and coordinate service scopes and quotations
- Monitor rent collection, occupancy, tenancies, renewals, repairs, and maintenance
- Evaluate property-manager performance for management review
- Work with finance to finalise property-level income and expenses, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely payments
- Monitor asset cash balances and reserves, escalating liquidity risks early
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to scale asset-management operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Adequate financial competency to understand property-level P&Ls, budgets, cash flow, and reserves
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Ability to turn data into clear decisions and reporting
- Project management skills are a strong plus
- Working knowledge of the Malaysian property landscape, including strata management, local taxes and charges, and tenancy practices
- Strong, confident Excel skills and ability to use AI tools while validating and owning outputs
- Comfortable chasing property managers, vendors, and internal teams until the job is done
- Comfortable with ambiguity, change, and rapid growth
- Strong relationship-management skills
- Confidence and professionalism in building trust with local partners while holding them accountable
- Exceptional organisation, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin/Cantonese is a strong advantage
- Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues in the UK and US time zones
- Ability to use and extend playbooks, checklists, and AI-enabled workflows
- Ability to identify process gaps and independently propose and implement improvements
