About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop real-time AI/ML processing systems for edge sensor signal processing, such as drone detection and automated target recognition
  • Integrate Walaris software and technology into military and commercial security systems to add autonomous capabilities and boost overall system performance
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing and deployment
  • Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers
  • Write code to improve products and scale mission capability to a greater number of customers
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovations to improve products and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and address requirements from R&D, sales, and product management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience as a software engineer specializing in real-time, high-throughput data processing, ideally within AI-driven applications
  • Knowledge of object-oriented software development, preferably in Python or C++
  • Background in Linux-based development
  • Proficiency in developing unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Experience working with Docker or other containerization framework
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab pipelines or Jenkins
  • Experience in frameworks such as PyTorch, Flask, GStreamer, and Deepstream
  • Experience with edge processing
  • Exposure to NVIDIA Jetson devices
  • Experience with NumPy
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State, to conform to U.S. Government export regulations including ITAR
