About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as part of quarry operations to produce aggregate and construction materials
- Maintain and operate the processing plant, including crushers, screens, and wash-plants
- Operate loaders to feed the processing plant
- Assist in stockpile and load-out of finished product
- Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine mobile-equipment inspections and maintenance
- Communicate plant-site issues to the Foreman and Mine Management
- Assist with plant maintenance and repairs, including cutting, fabricating, and welding
- Maintain a clean and orderly work site
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment
- Communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management while performing daily inspections of the plant site
- Maintain a clean and orderly work site, including shoveling and skid steer operation
- Assist in plant maintenance and repairs, including labor work, cutting, fabricating, and welding
- Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting
- Equipment may include loaders, skid steers, water trucks, man lifts, dozers, and excavators
