About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide forensic engineering, restoration, and building repair consulting services
  • Manage projects and client relationships
  • Lead investigations and analyze structural and waterproofing deficiencies
  • Develop repair recommendations for high-rises, historical buildings, parking structures, plazas, tunnels, and bridges
  • Perform investigations, surveys, and testing of existing buildings
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and calculations prepared by others
  • Assist with project proposals and review agreements
  • Participate in quality control processes
  • Monitor project progress, requirements, budgets, and procedural standards
  • Perform or review condition appraisals and develop repair schemes
  • Complete and maintain project documentation in project management software
  • Maintain, market, and promote restoration and forensic engineering consulting services
  • Participate in forensic investigations, condition assessments, repair design, budgeting, and construction administration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or similar
  • Professional license in architecture or structural engineering preferred, or actively pursuing licensure
  • 5+ years of experience preferred in forensic engineering, structural restoration, building repair, or related consulting fields
  • Strong writing, communication, and team skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Ability to travel to project sites
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience in forensic engineering, structural restoration, building repair, or related consulting fields
