About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in shift teams alongside production, safety and hygiene teams
- Undertake planned and preventative maintenance
- Develop robust engineering solutions and long-term fixes
- Perform general plant maintenance
- Improve plant reliability
- Diagnose problems before they develop
- Complete daily preventative maintenance activities to a high standard
- Resolve breakdowns quickly and efficiently
- Maximise plant reliability, performance, product quality and safety
- Drive improvements in asset reliability and reduce losses
- Use SAP PM effectively
- Ensure plant and personnel, including external contractors, conform to Health and Safety legislation, policies and standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience as a Multi Skilled, Shift, Electrical or Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience
- Fault Finding and Root Cause Analysis skills
- Structured and practical engineering training, e.g. apprenticeship, HNC or degree
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment
- Health and Safety knowledge, e.g. PUWER and IOSH
- Ability to ensure a safe working environment
- Analysing and problem-solving skills
- Ability to anticipate problems and take steps to deal with them
- Ability to work 4 on 4 off days and nights, working 6-6
