About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare high-dollar, complex and high-visibility participation royalty statements using the publishing system, WB’s enterprise SAP platform, existing tools and analytical methodologies
  • Read and understand abstracts, legal agreements and related written documentation
  • Perform current and historical data analysis and verify reporting against contractual agreements
  • Analyze publishing, film, television and other product patterns and agreements across WB Pictures, Animation, Television, Games and DC Comics
  • Research abnormalities using SAP and/or other line-of-business components to review underlying transactional activity
  • Support ad-hoc and special projects, including system enhancement identification, design and testing, management and staff presentations, historical research and cleanup
  • Address changing business needs with new processes, systems, tools and templates
  • Identify and implement ongoing process improvement and automation
  • Research and answer stakeholder questions
  • Participate in Business Unit meetings to address questions, process improvements and changing business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 1-2 years previous accounting, audit or financial related experience required
  • Experience with royalties, participations or residuals preferred
  • Publishing or entertainment industry related experience
  • Business analyst or financial analyst experience required
  • Experience with system implementations and testing preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required; Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Information Systems preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis techniques
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Tableau or Power Platform (Power BI, Query, etc.) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong planning and organizational skills required
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks required
  • Ability to read and understand digests, abstracts and legal agreements
  • Strong math and algebra skills required
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to assume progressive responsibility within the organization
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development, documentation and delivery of training materials
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new technology
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-volume environment and think outside of the box
  • Ability to understand and communicate with operational, financial, IT and executive personnel
