About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and develop the APAC Regional Copyright team
  • Shape the future of the copyright department
  • Deliver process improvements and implement new ways of working
  • Prioritise and plan team workloads to meet deadlines
  • Set critical metrics for team, society, and third-party performance
  • Create regular performance reports for the Regional C&R Manager
  • Support strategic planning, goal setting, and project management
  • Review APAC contract administration processes
  • Troubleshoot copyright enquiries for the Asia Copyright team
  • Respond to, coordinate, investigate, and resolve APAC client queries
  • Provide status updates on APAC deals and associated work registrations
  • Monitor territory-wide catalogue registrations for new APAC deals
  • Liaise with affiliate offices and sub-publishers to ensure registrations and income flows meet expectations
  • Resolve affiliate agreement and work registration queries
  • Communicate with APAC PRO and other processing partners
  • Provide training on systems and publishing knowledge
  • Handle WCM copyright claims checks and return claim files to source
  • Collaborate with Regional Royalty and Tracking teams to resolve and prevent collection-income problems
  • Represent Warner Chappell at external meetings and participate in industry working groups
  • Delegate tasks and undertake administrative duties as required
  • Assist with general department and administration matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Music or administration field
  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience working for an international Music Publisher
  • At least 2 years of team management experience
  • Experience managing people and adapting management style for different groups
  • Experience reading and understanding music publishing contracts
  • Ability to interpret commercial terms and translate them into copyright and royalty systems
  • In-depth knowledge of PRO/CMO collective rights administration policies and operational activities
  • Confidence communicating clearly with clients, colleagues, and management
  • Flexibility to work across time zones outside regular working hours when required
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including Power Pivot and advanced formulae
  • Ability to read and write in English and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
  • Ability to analyse, extract, and manipulate data from high-volume data files
  • Ability to read and write Korean, Japanese, Thai, or Vietnamese is advantageous
  • Thorough understanding of collection society structures and licensing/distribution processes
  • Background in collection society or music rights management administration is advantageous
  • Passion for music
