About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform accounting, analysis, and reporting activities to support the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and related deliverables.
  • Perform tasks as part of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, reclasses, and other accounting adjustments.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaids, and other assigned accounting areas, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform variance analyses related to system reconciliations, intercompany mismatches, and ad hoc requests, and provide timely support and explanations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with offshore team members to support the accurate and timely completion of assigned activities.
  • Support automation and process improvement opportunities within BlackLine to enhance the close process and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, accounting policies, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests, tax reporting requirements, and the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with business unit finance teams and other stakeholders while supporting cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-5 years of experience in Shared Service or Corporate Accounting and/or experience with a Big 4 CPA firm
  • SAP S4 Hanna
  • HFM Familiarity
  • Blackline experience
  • CPA plus
  • Experience in a Shared Services environment
  • Experience working in a SOX controlled environment
  • Experience conducting internal & external audits
  • Experience with flux analysis and SEC reporting
  • Experience performing fixed asset accounting related activities
  • Music industry experience a plus
  • Strong work-ethic and are a self-starter with effective organizational skills with attention to detail who proactively seeks out new solutions
  • Problem solving, decision making, and continuous process improvement skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Partnering, influencing, and communication skills to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner
