About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and customize Shopify theme sections, templates, and features in Liquid
Pick up development tickets, including settings and content changes, bug fixes, and new functionality
Build configurable sections with well-structured theme settings
Write structured, maintainable, component-based JavaScript
Ensure work is responsive, cross-browser compatible, and accessible
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Shopify apps
Work in Git and pull request workflows, including reviewing and responding to code reviews
Work closely with QA to test and safely ship changes
Automate repetitive work using AI tools where helpful
Create visually appealing, functional, and high-converting Shopify websites for Warner Music Group brands and clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience at an agency or a brand running on Shopify
Portfolio of Shopify work
Solid understanding of Shopify themes, including sections, templates, theme settings, and the Shopify admin
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Familiarity with lightweight client-side frameworks such as Stimulus or Alpine.js
Understanding of responsive, mobile-first development
Working knowledge of accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.1 AA
Comfortable with Git and pull requests
Experience using AI tools in the development workflow
Structured code development using organized files and reusable components
Shopify Plus experience preferred
Shopify CLI, Theme Check, or Shopify Admin API (GraphQL) experience preferred
CI/CD experience, such as GitHub Actions, preferred
Front-end build tooling experience, such as Vite or webpack, preferred
Performance optimization experience using Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals preferred
