About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide in-depth advising services promoting graduate student success, retention, and degree completion
  • Advise graduate students on programs, curriculum, graduate education, and university policies, processes, and procedures
  • Assess holistic student needs, provide support, and refer students to appropriate campus partners
  • Respond to communications in a timely manner
  • Work closely with University partners in the best interest of students
  • Organize and maintain student files
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing communications
  • Plan student engagement opportunities and events on and off campus
  • Represent the department at orientation, commencement, and other events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and, as applicable, other checks, drug screen, employment and education or licensure/certification verification, physical examination, vaccinations and/or governmental registry checks
  • Ability to work in a normal office environment
  • Ability to travel to on- and off-campus locations
  • Preferred: Master's degree
