About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support one or more enterprise applications across University units
  • Analyze application use cases and ensure configuration meets business needs
  • Configure and administer assigned applications
  • Consult on application capabilities and best practices
  • Perform impact analysis for upgrades and changes
  • Manage incidents, vendors, and quality assurance/testing support
  • Support efforts to increase adoption of assigned applications
  • Partner with University stakeholders to understand use cases and requirements
  • Research, analyze technology, consult vendors, and design technical solutions
  • Evaluate service and application risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Advise end users on application best practices and functionality
  • Resolve moderately complex customer incidents and requests
  • Create and maintain documentation for services, solutions, and applications
  • Coordinate and communicate vendor-managed application upgrades
  • Manage vendor relationships and support contract renewal and licensing activities
  • Validate, test, and implement solutions, features, and functionality
  • Develop moderately complex test plans
  • Collaborate with technical staff within Washington University IT and schools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with SQL or equivalent for data analysis and troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience with Point of Sales Systems Administration & Configuration preferred
  • Experience with Secure ID Card and Credentialing Systems Administration and Configuration preferred
  • No specific certification/professional license required
  • Driver’s license is not required
  • Must be within 50 miles of St. Louis and available to come on site on occasion
  • External candidates receiving an offer must complete pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and applicable checks
