About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in recruitment of study participants according to study protocols
  • Visit participants to explain studies, screen for eligibility, and obtain informed consent
  • Process blood samples, including centrifugation and plasma aliquoting
  • Document processing conditions and maintain sample-location logs
  • Complete paperwork and documentation according to study protocols
  • Interview study subjects and schedule follow-ups
  • Perform basic/scripted eligibility assessments
  • Explain and schedule laboratory and diagnostic procedures and/or treatment required by studies
  • Refer participants to basic resources as needed
  • Collect data from participants, medical records, interviews, questionnaires, diagnostic tests, and other sources
  • Perform basic evaluation and interpretation of collected data
  • Prepare reports, documentation, study packets, and information
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
  • Administrative or research experience: 2 years
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
  • Basic Life Support certification must include a skills assessment component; online certifications without skills assessment are insufficient
  • Ability to interact with research participants, family, and caregivers, including participants with mild to moderate dementia and healthy control volunteers
  • Preferred: Associate degree
  • Preferred skills: Interpersonal Communication, Oral Communications, Organizing, Written Communication
  • Driver's license is not required
