About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, or evaluate health information technology applications, tools, processes, or structures for clinical and research data collection/extraction
  • Prepare estimates and feasibility analyses of data requests for principal investigators
  • Analyze and interpret information systems data to improve research and clinical services
  • Design, develop, select, test, implement, and evaluate informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms
  • Support patients, healthcare professionals, and information management and human-computer/human-technology interactions in healthcare contexts
  • Review code written by team members and ensure data accuracy
  • Develop strategies, policies, or procedures for introducing, evaluating, or modifying information technology in clinical practice, education, administration, or research
  • Educate staff and assist with problem solving for healthcare IT and data management platform implementation
  • Collaborate on short-term investigator projects, longer-term research with external research institutions, and data commercialization projects
  • Integrate technical, regulatory, and commercial intelligence into strategic insights guiding commercialization pathways and project prioritization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Clinical Decision Support (CDS)
  • Health Information Systems (HIS)
  • Medical Terminology
  • No specific certification/professional license is required
  • Epic Certification - Epic Systems is preferred
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Epic Systems, Health Care, Interpersonal Communication, Oral Communications, Researching, and Written Communication are preferred skills
  • A driver's license is not required
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment screening for external candidates receiving an offer
