About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist investigators as coordinator of basic to moderately complex public health research studies
  • Coordinate multiple research studies and liaise with the school, sponsoring agency, community, and study participants
  • Implement and manage all phases of study protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Establish record-keeping systems and record participant progress in databases
  • Analyze, investigate, and report adverse events and escalate emergent issues
  • Work with investigators and HRPO to resolve IRB/protocol management issues and recommend corrective action
  • Recruit and enroll study participants and determine eligibility
  • Prepare informed consent packets and explain study purposes, processes, and procedures
  • Administer and score tests and evaluate assessments
  • Schedule and facilitate timely completion of protocol requirements
  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret low-complexity qualitative and quantitative data
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and analyses with the investigator
  • Conduct literature reviews under investigator supervision
  • Assist with grant and manuscript preparation
  • Collect public health data under research protocols
  • May drive the Community Outreach Van
  • Perform other incidental duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • A commercial driver's license and good driving record are required
  • No specific work experience is required
  • Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
  • Preferred: 1 year of Public Health, Epidemiological, Behavioral Medicine, Psychological, Sociological, Anthropological, Clinical, or Urban Planning Research experience
  • Preferred skills include Analytical Solutions, Big Data Analytics, Clinical Support, Communication, Computer Literacy, Data Management, Interpersonal Relationships, Organizational Leadership, Public Health Research, Qualitative Analysis Software, and Quantitative Analysis Software
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment screening
