About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and manage day-to-day research administration
- Support faculty, center directors, and staff throughout pre-award sponsored-project activities
- Prepare and submit complex grant proposals, budgets, justifications, agency forms, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate proposal submissions, signatures, subaward setup, contracts, and subcontracts
- Manage notices of award, grant databases, annual agency reports, revised budgets, and grant transfers
- Coordinate research compliance information, including biosketches, trainee information, and human/animal protocol approvals
- Analyze grant metrics and funding trends
- Close complex sponsored-project accounts and submit final reports and invention statements
- Monitor sponsored-project budgets, expenditures, reconciliations, payroll sourcing, cost transfers, purchasing, and subawards
- Prepare correspondence with granting agencies, financial reports, invoices, budget adjustments, and fund-management documentation
- Liaise with faculty, PIs, department administrators, SPA, OSRS, leadership, and granting agencies
- Manage research center cores and subcores, program income, bridge/seed funds, and institutional funds
- Design and implement reporting databases for core/subcore service billing
- Prepare center financial reports, invoices, forecasts, progress and renewal materials
- Coordinate center lectures, scientific forums, workshops, meetings, and symposiums
- Assist senior leadership with special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
- 4 years of relevant experience
- 2 years of grants administration experience
- Knowledge of S2S and SUBS systems preferred
- Knowledge of agency guidelines preferred
