About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C#/.NET applications for vision-guided robotic systems
  • Propose and document architectural decisions for new components and refactoring initiatives
  • Optimize real-time latency, throughput, and reliability
  • Develop and maintain hardware integrations, including camera SDKs, robot communication, remote I/O modules (ADAM), and network protocols
  • Instrument applications and expose telemetry data with Prometheus
  • Ensure the coverage and quality of unit, integration, and endurance tests
  • Continuously improve software quality, including by addressing bugs, bottlenecks, and technical debt
  • Collaborate with product and performance teams to translate system requirements into software solutions
  • Provide production incident and end-user support as needed
  • Facilitate technical discussions, guide design decisions, and conduct code reviews
  • Coach junior developers and promote best practices
  • Maintain high quality standards and up-to-date technical documentation
  • Integrate AI assistance tools, including Claude Code, into development and code review practices
  • Actively monitor technology trends and propose the adoption of tools and practices that advance the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of .NET development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or technical lead role
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET (current LTS version)
  • Experience with C++ or Python is an asset
  • Strong experience with real-time processing and multithreaded programming, including profiling and memory management
  • Experience with image acquisition and processing pipelines
  • Knowledge of network protocols and communication with industrial equipment, including camera SDKs, robot communication, I/O modules (ADAM), and OPC UA
  • Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, including stored procedures and performance optimization
  • Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD tools, including version control, build pipelines, and deployments (TeamCity)
  • Application instrumentation and telemetry experience (Prometheus) is an asset
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (Jira)
  • Experience with Claude Code or an equivalent tool is an asset
  • Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring skills, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Professional communication skills in French and English
