About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collect field data
- Prepare and assist with preparation of engineering reports
- Develop work plans and calculations
- Conduct field investigations
- Oversee drilling and construction activities
- Assure compliance with applicable state and federal environmental regulations
- Support various phases of project execution
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling
- Conduct well logging
- Analyze hydrogeological and environmental data
- Classify soil
- Assist with implementation of work plans
- Assist with proposal preparation and marketing efforts
- Assist with geoscience-based projects across Montana, the Rocky Mountain, and Pacific Northwest regions
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with WET standards
- Convey design analysis and results in written reports and documentation
- Travel to WET job sites and other WET offices as necessary
- Work safely in office and field environments, including various weather conditions and remote locations
- Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary design teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related degree from an ABET accredited College or University
- If not licensed, ability to obtain an EI or GIT certification license within two years of employment
- Minimum of 2 years experience preferred but not required
- Basic MS Office skills, including Word and Excel
- Valid Driver’s License and insurability under company policy required
- Ability to independently apply core environmental engineering and geologic principles and standards
