About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the proposal development cycle for tenders and funding opportunities, from strategic screening through submission—assessing fit, risks, and partnership potential before deciding whether to participate.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with strategic national and international partners, including multilateral organizations, positioning WayCarbon as a leading sustainability partner.
  • Translate complex Terms of Reference (ToRs) into robust, differentiated technical proposals, coordinating internal technical teams to ensure alignment with evaluation criteria.
  • Structure, together with technical teams, competitive financial proposals that balance scope, effort, and strategic pricing.
  • Orchestrate consortia and partnerships, both internal and external, throughout proposal development, ensuring message consistency, technical quality, and timely delivery.
  • Ensure full compliance with tender requirements—including documentation, eligibility, and formatting—eliminating disqualification risks.
  • Act as a critical reviewer of technical and commercial content, enhancing proposal clarity, competitive differentiation, and persuasive power.
  • Analyze evaluation criteria and define, together with leadership, the winning strategy for each proposal, both technical and commercial.
  • Curate and maintain the team’s strategic knowledge base—including credentials, résumés, case studies, and evidence—as a competitive asset for new opportunities.
  • Lead win/loss analyses and turn insights into concrete process improvements.
  • Actively contribute to the evolution of processes, templates, and governance, strengthening the maturity and scalability of the partnerships and proposals function.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing and coordinating technical and commercial proposals in ESG or the climate agenda.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to establish and sustain strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders—including technical partners, internal teams, clients, and international organizations.
  • Experience interpreting tenders and Terms of Reference (ToRs) and translating requirements into structured proposals.
  • Experience in consulting, sustainability, or related fields is preferred.
