About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development of climate management projects for Brazilian municipalities
  • Lead stakeholder engagement meetings and technical alignment sessions with municipalities regarding climate risks and emissions inventories
  • Support municipalities in collecting and analyzing documents
  • Configure the WayCarbon Ecosystem platform for each municipality
  • Support the methodological definition and implementation of the project in each municipality
  • Conduct training sessions for municipalities
  • Support the definition of climate mitigation and adaptation actions for municipalities
  • Develop high-quality reports in formal written English, demonstrating coherent reasoning and a high standard of writing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Previous experience working on multi-stakeholder projects involving the public sector
  • Knowledge of the climate agenda as applied to the public sector, including municipal-level GHG emissions inventory methodologies and the development of climate action plans (mitigation and adaptation)
  • Experience gathering, consolidating, and analyzing large volumes of information and data
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Preferred/differentiator: previous experience working with SaaS solutions for climate management
