About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver job-specific German instruction with a focus on warehousing and logistics
- Address typical workplace and vocational school situations in a language-focused way, such as goods receiving, storage, order picking, shipping, occupational safety, and workplace communication
- Teach and clearly explain technical language, work instructions, and occupation-specific terminology
- Identify and specifically address language challenges arising at vocational school and in the training company
- Develop apprentices’ linguistic and occupational competence for everyday situations at work and in vocational school
- Support preparation for intermediate and final vocational training examinations; no preparation for language examinations
- Independently plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in accordance with the BAMF concept for vocational German courses for apprentices (Azubi-BSK)
- Use suitable, modern, and practice-oriented teaching methods
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualification in German as a Foreign Language (DaF) / German as a Second Language (DaZ), plus additional qualification for vocational German courses (ZQ BSK)
- Enjoyment of working with apprentices and an interest in their linguistic and professional development
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with the warehousing and logistics sector
- Reliable and dependable personality with the ability to lead learning groups confidently and in a goal-oriented manner
- Willingness to work regularly on site in Oschersleben
- Desirable: experience teaching vocational or technical German, ideally in warehousing and logistics
- Desirable: experience with vocational German courses for apprentices, at vocational schools, or teaching people with a migration background
- Confident use of digital teaching media
- Empathy, commitment, and enthusiasm for supporting young people during their vocational training
- Category B driving licence and personal mobility, or good access to public transport
