About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop complex Shopify solutions, including custom apps, public apps, integrations, APIs, GraphQL, and Liquid
Independently design and develop technical architectures
Act as the Technical Project Lead (TPV) in customer projects
Work closely with Marcel (CTO) as a sounding board and mentor
Actively and proficiently use AI tools in your day-to-day development work
Continuously improve technical standards and internal processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

More than 3 years of professional experience in Shopify development
Demonstrable experience developing custom and/or public apps on Shopify
Expertise in Shopify custom and public apps using Node.js and React
Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, as well as complex system integrations
Proficiency in Shopify Liquid and frontend development
Strong technical architecture mindset—you see the entire system, not just the code
Proficient use of AI coding tools such as Cursor
Independent and solution-oriented approach
Ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of unfamiliar topics and develop your own solutions
Structured, quality-conscious working style
Eager to grow and open to feedback
