About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct deep-dive research on potential speakers
Draft compelling, high-level correspondence and pitches to speakers and their teams
Identify where and how to engage desired speakers and make pitches in person when needed
Manage speaker data and acquisition workflows, ensuring visibility into work and progress
Create Speaker Dossiers for VIP meetings
Meet and exceed targets for acquiring speakers and completing required acquisition steps
Become a subject expert in a technology field and acquire prominent names to speak at Web Summit
Identify emerging trends, bypass gatekeepers and manage expectations of elite speakers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to conduct deep-dive research on potential speakers and identify their stories, roles, work, announcements, networks and impact
Ability to find speaker contact details, Chiefs of Staff, advisors and other relevant contacts
Exceptional writing and communication skills; professional, persuasive and succinct presentation
Adept at using the latest AI and LLM tools to automate research and work
Proficiency with social tools to find relevant people
Willingness to learn, ask questions, become an expert in a field and scale skills quickly
High Social IQ and awareness of colleagues’ needs
Experience in media, PR or similar fields is a bonus
