About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build end-to-end tests with realistic data for registration, login, ticket assignment and entry journeys
- Build reusable test identities and event-like data for all teams
- Run the complete flow across mobile apps and supporting services weekly
- Provide evidence of release dependencies and whether releases work end to end
- Work across engineering teams as a hands-on quality engineer
- Work on site at events, observe entry operations, and turn findings into tests, monitors or written decisions
- Help teams confidently ship more often while retaining responsibility for what they ship
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong programming skills and a record of building test software other engineers keep using
- Experience testing journeys across APIs, services, web or mobile clients and third-party systems
- Judgement about which layer to test what at
- Experience creating reusable test data and environments
- Experience running automated tests in CI/CD
- Experience investigating failures with logs, monitoring and crash reports
- Ability to explain risk plainly to engineers and non-engineers
- Comfortable using AI tools to write and maintain tests
- Working ability in at least one of Ruby, JavaScript, Swift or Kotlin, and able to read the others
- Mobile automation such as Maestro would help
- Experience with Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Swift, Kotlin, Maestro, React Native, Salesforce, CircleCI, feature flags, Claude Code or Cursor is relevant to the listed stack
