About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build repeatable end-to-end tests with realistic data for registration, login, ticket assignment and entry
  • Build reusable test identities and event-like data
  • Run the whole flow across mobile apps and backend services weekly
  • Provide clear evidence of release dependencies
  • Work across teams as a hands-on quality engineer
  • Work on site at events, observe entry processes, and turn findings into tests, monitors or written decisions
  • Make it easy for teams to know their releases work end to end

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong programming skills and a record of building test software other engineers keep using
  • Experience testing journeys across APIs, services, web or mobile clients and third-party systems
  • Judgement about which layer to test at
  • Experience creating reusable test data and environments
  • Experience running automated tests in CI/CD
  • Experience investigating failures with logs, monitoring and crash reports
  • Ability to explain risk plainly to engineers and non-engineers
  • Comfortable using AI tools to write and maintain tests
  • Working ability in at least one of Ruby, JavaScript, Swift or Kotlin, and able to read the others
  • Mobile automation such as Maestro would help
