About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution
- Conduct case evaluations, develop litigation strategy, and advise clients on risk assessment and potential exposure
- Draft and argue dispositive motions
- Prepare trial briefs
- Oversee discovery, including expert witness preparation
- Support the preparation and filing of lawsuits to recover funds from responsible third parties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings and trials
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case status, strategy, and potential outcomes
- Collaborate with adjusters, recovery specialists, and outside counsel to pursue recoveries efficiently
- Stay current on changes in the law
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably in the commercial transportation/trucking industry
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active and good standing PA bar license; required
- NY Bar license a plus
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
