About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications supporting Blue Rabbit and other Wedgewood technology solutions
Develop and support backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal and external applications
Build and enhance frontend functionality to deliver reliable, user-friendly experiences
Work with relational and non-relational databases to support application functionality and data integration
Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, development, testing, and delivery within two-week sprint cycles
Own assigned development tasks and contribute to larger projects from design through implementation
Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement scalable, maintainable solutions
Explore and apply new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies to support evolving business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
At least two years of professional software development experience
Object-oriented programming principles and software engineering fundamentals
Backend development, APIs, and database interactions
SQL databases, including writing queries and understanding application-data interactions
Experience with programming languages or frameworks such as Node.js, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript
Experience contributing to projects involving frontend and backend functionality
Ability to learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, or technologies
Experience with ReactJS, MongoDB, Apache Kafka, GraphQL, REST APIs, AWS, Azure, or Salesforce Apex is a plus
Experience in veterinary medicine, pharmacy, or healthcare technology is an added advantage
