About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain high-availability backend services in Go, Python, and Java
Implement and manage Terraform scripts to provision and scale cloud resources consistently
Configure and optimize GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Integrate with multiple payment processors, including Stripe, PayPal, and Razorpay, ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS standards
Perform code reviews, enforce coding best practices, and contribute to architectural discussions
Monitor application performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency
Collaborate with product and front-end teams to deliver end-to-end feature solutions
Develop robust error handling, logging, and alerting mechanisms for production stability
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem documentation
Stay up-to-date with industry trends in cloud infrastructure, payment technologies, and backend development

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of professional experience building scalable backend systems in Go, Python, and/or Java
Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code and experience deploying resources on AWS, GCP, or Azure
Hands-on experience configuring GitHub Actions for CI/CD, including automated testing and deployment
Deep understanding of payment gateway integration, security best practices, and regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as message queuing systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills across distributed systems
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
Experience with automated testing frameworks, unit/integration tests, and test automation pipelines
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud orchestration
Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies in backend development
