About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations with internal and third-party applications
- Build and maintain integrations using Workday Studio and EIB
- Analyze integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation approaches
- Develop inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and payroll, benefits, finance, identity management, and other enterprise systems
- Troubleshoot integration failures, identify root causes, and implement resolutions
- Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to assess requirements and recommend integration solutions
- Develop integration documentation, technical specifications, test plans, and deployment procedures
- Perform unit, integration, regression, and production validation testing
- Monitor integration performance and address errors, data inconsistencies, and recurring issues
- Participate in integration architecture discussions and contribute to best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior integration developers and consultants
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience; 8–16 years of overall experience with significant hands-on experience in Workday integrations
- Strong expertise in Workday Integration development and implementation
- Extensive hands-on experience with Workday Studio
- Strong experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) for inbound and outbound integrations
- Understanding of Workday integration architecture, business processes, security, and data structures
- Experience with integration requirements, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Workday Core Connectors, including Core Connector: Worker (CCW), preferred
- Hands-on experience with PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface), preferred
- Knowledge of Core Connector Payroll (CCP/CCB) or related Workday payroll integrations, preferred
- Experience with Workday Orchestration and Report-as-a-Service (RaaS), preferred
- Knowledge of XML/XSLT, preferred
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and third-party API integrations, preferred
- Familiarity with authentication mechanisms and secure data exchange, preferred
- Experience with integration monitoring, error handling, and performance optimization, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
- Workday Integration certification or relevant Workday credentials are advantageous
