About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and be accountable for the WEG HVS negotiation process from RFQ inception through negotiation closeout
- Communicate effectively with Field Sales, customers, and factories
- Demonstrate understanding of applications, OEMs, and customer visits
- Develop industry experience through periodicals, internet research, conferences, and site visits
- Review requests for quotations, including specifications, emails, and phone calls
- Lead and own quotations/opportunities by requesting feedback from Sales or customers
- Identify project and customer details needed to determine quotation strategy
- Compile accurate quotations for WEG offerings
- Follow minimum pricing guidelines established by management
- Identify opportunities requiring alternate pricing and bring them to management
- Receive and review purchase orders as needed
- Generate order-entry materials
- Organize quotation and order documentation electronically and in hard copy when needed
- Provide technical or commercial assistance to the Project Coordinator/Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or university program certificate, or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application Engineering
- Technical experience and knowledge of electrical machines and their applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- 1 to 3 years’ experience as an Application Engineer in the Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
