About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical leadership during project pursuit, proposal development, engineering execution, commissioning, and customer support
- Serve as the primary technical resource for customers, utilities, EPCs, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Review technical specifications, assess project risks, and develop engineering solutions
- Support MV VFD, motor, generator, and power system integration activities
- Lead technical reviews, design discussions, factory acceptance tests, and commissioning activities as required
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable industry standards and customer requirements
- Mentor Project Engineers and provide technical guidance
- Coordinate and manage specialized external engineering consultants when required
- Resolve complex technical issues during project execution and startup
- Travel for customer meetings, factory acceptance testing, site visits, and commissioning activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of engineering experience in rotating equipment, MV drives, power systems, power generation, or grid stability applications
- Strong knowledge of motors, generators, synchronous condensers, MV VFDs, and related electrical systems
- Understanding of industrial, utility, or EPC project environments
- Familiarity with NEMA, IEEE, IEC, UL, and other applicable industry standards
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience supporting customer-facing technical discussions and project execution activities
- Ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- PE license preferred but not required
- SAP experience is a plus
