About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mask, clean, and prepare industrial gearboxes and electric motors for painting
- Hang products on paint racks or overhead conveyors safely and appropriately
- Mix paints and primers according to procedures for each type
- Prepare painting guns and equipment
- Paint products with a professional-looking finish
- Stage painted products to allow proper drying before packing
- Assist with packing products for shipping
- Perform other assigned duties and tasks
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Moderate knowledge of industrial liquid paint booth equipment operation
- Moderate knowledge of paint preparation procedures
- Basic knowledge of forklift operation; on-site certification will be required
- Basic knowledge of packing and crating products using corrugated and wooden cartons
- Moderate knowledge and ability to use manual and power tools
- Moderate understanding of paint booth safety procedures
- Basic understanding of and ability to follow company safety procedures
- Basic knowledge of inventory control procedures preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook preferred
- 1–2 years in an industrial or automotive painting environment preferred
- Updated resume and completed application required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; WEG does not offer visa sponsorship
