  • Design, build, test, and support software solutions across the application development lifecycle

  • At Level 3, evaluate and implement automation, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled development practices
  • Level 1: Create and modify basic programs with guidance and assist with basic to moderate designs and prototypes
  • Level 2: Create and modify moderately complex programs, contribute to complex code reviews and designs, mentor engineers, and assist with requirements analysis, technical debt reduction, and application architecture
  • Level 3: Develop complex software solutions, provide technical leadership, lead code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and provide technical guidance on responsible AI-enabled development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles, practices, and the full development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of software systems, design techniques, development tools, and data processing concepts
  • Relevant technologies: C#/.NET/.NET Core, LINQ, SQL, and related tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause identification and solution recommendations
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
  • Alignment with organizational core competencies
  • Level 1: 0–2 years of academic, internship, project-based, or professional experience in software development or a related technical field
  • Level 1: Foundational proficiency in at least one relevant programming language and familiarity with source control, debugging, testing, and relational data concepts
  • Level 2: 2+ years of progressively responsible software development or related technical experience
  • Level 2: Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages and experience with source control, automated testing, relational data, APIs, and CI/CD
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related progressive experience in development and systems analysis, experience with 1–3 coding languages, and project management experience
  • Level 3: Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET/.NET Core, SQL, LINQ, Blazor, system design, software architecture, application integration patterns, and cloud technologies
  • Level 3: Ability to lead technical initiatives, manage projects, and influence technical direction
  • Levels 1 and 2: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, training, and relevant work experience
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field; education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Level 3 web development team: .NET; iOS and Android development; WCF, RESTful and Web API services; MAUI/Xamarin; LINQ; WPF and MVVM; Windows desktop, mobile, and browser-based application development; web services support; Microsoft DevOps; Agile; iOS deployment; GitHub; cloud development; containerized deployment; data analytics and/or AI
  • Level 3 policy administration development team: .NET, COBOL, Microsoft DevOps, Git, and GitHub Copilot and/or Microsoft 365 Copilot or equivalent
  • Level 3 AI architecture strongly preferred: large language models, vector databases, semantic search, prompt engineering, and agent-to-agent communication patterns
  • Level 3 AI implementation experience strongly preferred: RAG solutions, vector search, grounding, prompt orchestration, MCP servers and integrations, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted development
  • Python, JavaScript, and Angular experience is optional
