About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with business and technology teams to optimize costs and improve business processes, products, services, and software
- Research, analyze, and model current and proposed business processes and systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases and detailed requirements
- Analyze application system requirements, prepare scope documents, and identify technical solutions
- Present requirements and solution options to business, technical, and software quality assurance teams
- Facilitate solution selection and confirm feasibility and alignment with stakeholder objectives
- Elicit, define, document, verify, and validate requirements
- Plan and monitor requirements activities, including priorities, risks, scope and change control, and status communication
- Contribute to continuous improvement and business analysis practices
- Train, mentor, and support less experienced business analysts
- Leverage AI and generative AI tools for requirements development, process and data analysis, documentation, research, and solution evaluation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, computer science, or a related field; a combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Level 2: 2+ years of related experience
- Level 3: 5+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of technical business analysis principles, practices, IT standards, and the systems development life cycle
- Ability to understand, use, and clearly communicate technical solutions and business requirements
- Critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and process improvement skills appropriate to the level
- Familiarity with Teams, SmartDraw, SharePoint, and DevOps
- Agile mindset and ability to apply agile tools and adapt to change
- Commitment to a diverse and inclusive culture
- Project management experience is a plus
