About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Investigate, triage, and respond to security incidents and threat attempts
- Protect Wellhub’s cloud-based environment from internal and external threats
- Develop and execute cybersecurity projects and mitigation plans with IT, Cloud Security, and engineering teams
- Enhance cybersecurity observability, tools, and processes
- Serve as a first-line responder during incident response activities
- Ensure rapid triage, containment, and timely stakeholder communication
- Contribute to safe, secure, and resilient products
- Organize and manage interdependencies between security initiatives and technology areas
- Develop, update, and maintain automations for security ticket triage and incident response workflows
- Design, evaluate, and operate AI-assisted workflows using LLMs and agents, with human-in-the-loop controls
- Contribute to detection and response coverage for AI-related risks, including LLM applications, AI agents, and employee use of AI tools
- Collaborate with IT, Cloud Security, and engineering teams to improve security and deliver trusted products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Technology, or related areas
- Prior experience in Security Engineering is mandatory
- Prior experience with cloud is mandatory
- Experience with AWS and deploying medium to large-scale projects
- Ability to detect, analyze, and clarify hacking attempts, security incidents, and monitoring alerts
- Experience with a SIEM, including monitoring alarms, indicators of compromise, and use cases
- Experience with programming languages for automations
- Understanding of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices
- Knowledge of information security certifications and standards, including GPDR, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, SOC 2, and HIPAA
- Fluent and idiomatic English and Portuguese
- Experience using AI tools and LLM-based automation for investigation, triage, and detection engineering, with critical validation of outputs
- Understanding of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, insecure agent/tool access, and shadow AI
- Ability to identify, manage, and communicate with project stakeholders
- Ability to discuss security challenges and improvements with security engineers and colleagues
- Proactive approach to solving and preventing incidents
- Ability to present findings to leadership
- Ability to maintain threat intelligence initiatives at a high level
