About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in a structured Wells Fargo Advisors training program
- Partner with clients to understand financial goals, risk tolerance, and unique needs
- Assist in developing appropriate investment approaches
- Review basic client goals and risk tolerance
- Assess investment profiles and evaluate financial needs related to lower-risk, routine investment solutions
- Support client relationship development through quality service
- Contribute to a positive client experience
- Collaborate with internal partners and refer clients to specialists for additional products when appropriate
- Build foundational knowledge of financial products, regulatory requirements, and Wells Fargo Advisors processes
- Assess customer needs and refer interested customers to SAFE team members for dwelling-secured products without taking applications or offering or negotiating transaction terms
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ months of customer service, sales, relationship building experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Successfully completed Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or equivalent
- Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator positions
- Must meet applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
- Must successfully complete required background screening before hire
- Must obtain and/or maintain appropriate FINRA license(s) for ongoing employment
- FINRA Series 7 and 66, or Series 63 and 65, examinations or equivalents must be completed within 90 or 180 days after employment if not transferable upon hire
- State Variable, Life and Health insurance licenses must be completed within 90 or 180 days after employment if not transferable upon hire
- Must comply with state law registration and licensing requirements
- Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements and periodic screening obligations
- Must provide information regarding outside activities and/or personal investing when applicable
- U.S. only: position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
- Desired: financial services, wealth management, financial advising, investment planning, and financial products experience
- Desired: knowledge of bank and financial regulation requirements
- Desired: ability to understand customer needs, financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment profiles
- Desired: ability to build and maintain customer and banking relationships
