About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
  • Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
  • Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to improve banker productivity
  • Build an engaged, accountable culture focused on identifying customer financial needs
  • Balance growth objectives with operational risk management
  • Participate in the Branch Manager Readiness Program through mentorship, job shadowing, and practical branch operations learning
  • Provide inclusive leadership and manage performance through targeted coaching
  • Lead the branch team in delivering tailored consumer and business solutions
  • Use observation, feedback, follow-up, and branch manager routines to build capability and productivity
  • Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending teams
  • Educate customers about digital banking options
  • Analyze reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand relationships
  • Manage risk, resolve issues, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
  • Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
  • Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
  • Ability to connect customers to digital banking solutions
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before branch placement
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
