About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
- Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
- Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to improve productivity and performance
- Establish expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching
- Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
- Use branch routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to build team capability
- Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners
- Educate customers about digital banking options
- Analyze reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand relationships
- Balance growth, operational soundness, talent decisions, and risk management
- Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning to the Branch Manager position, unless already a Wells Fargo Branch Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
- Demonstrated ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
- Ability to analyze performance, identify strengths and opportunities, and execute action plans
- Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated success managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
- Ability to lead teams in influencing, educating, and connecting customers to technology
- Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
- Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
- Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before branch placement
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
