About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
- Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
- Lead, coach, and develop the branch team to improve banker productivity
- Build an engaged and accountable culture focused on identifying customer financial needs
- Balance growth objectives with operational risk management
- Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program, including mentorship, job shadowing, and practical branch-operations training, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager
- Set expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching
- Deliver tailored consumer and business banking solutions
- Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending teams
- Educate customers about digital banking options
- Use reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand relationships
- Manage risk, resolve issues, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
- Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
- Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
- Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
- Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
- Ability to connect customers to digital banking technology and solutions
- Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
- Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
- Ability to travel in the assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before branch placement
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment; Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
- Must satisfy Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
- Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
