About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the branch sales leader accountable for acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
  • Drive growth in primary checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
  • Lead, coach, and develop the branch team to improve banker productivity
  • Foster an engaged and accountable culture focused on identifying customer financial needs and recommending Wells Fargo solutions
  • Balance growth objectives with operational risk management
  • Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into a Branch Manager position, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager
  • Provide inclusive leadership, establish expectations, and manage performance through targeted coaching
  • Lead the branch team in delivering tailored consumer and business solutions
  • Use observation, feedback, reporting, and follow-up to improve capability, confidence, productivity, and performance
  • Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners
  • Educate customers about digital banking options
  • Manage risk, resolve issues, make talent decisions, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
  • Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
  • Ability to analyze performance, identify strengths and opportunities, and execute action plans
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Success managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
  • Ability to identify complex financial needs and build relationships with customers, internal partners, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to connect customers to technology and explain digital banking solutions
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
  • Must not require Visa sponsorship
