About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
- Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
- Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to improve productivity
- Establish expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching
- Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
- Use observation, feedback, and follow-up to build team capability and accountability
- Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending teams
- Educate customers about digital banking options
- Analyze reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand relationships
- Balance growth objectives with operational risk management
- Resolve issues and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company
- Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into a Branch Manager position; branch assignment depends on business need and availability
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
- Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch, depending on location
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
- Compliance with Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
- Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
- Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
- Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
- Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
- Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
- Success managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
- Ability to connect customers to digital banking technology and solutions
- Knowledge of banking laws, regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
