About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide inclusive leadership to build and retain a high-performing team
  • Establish expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching
  • Lead branch teams to identify customer financial needs and deliver consumer and business solutions
  • Use branch manager routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to build capability and productivity
  • Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer banking through education and digital options
  • Analyze reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand primary bank relationships
  • Balance growth, operational soundness, and talent decisions
  • Proactively manage risk, resolve issues, and model protective behaviors
  • Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into a Branch Manager position, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and prior to or until placement in a specific branch
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements
  • Must comply with Wells Fargo policies related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
  • A credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
  • Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
  • Experience managing affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
  • Ability to lead teams in educating customers about digital banking solutions
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
