About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the branch sales leader, acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships
- Drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
- Lead, coach, and develop branch employees
- Build an engaged, accountable, high-performing team culture
- Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
- Use coaching, observation, feedback, reporting, and follow-up to improve productivity and performance
- Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending teams
- Educate customers about digital banking options
- Manage growth, operational soundness, talent decisions, risk, and issue resolution
- Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into the Branch Manager position
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
- Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch
- SAFE registration required at the time of employment
- Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background
- Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
- Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- Successful completion of the Branch Manager Readiness Program required to transition into a Branch Manager position
- Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
- Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans
- Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
