About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the sales leader of the branch
  • Acquire, deepen, and retain customer relationships to drive growth in checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments
  • Lead, coach, and develop a branch team to improve banker productivity
  • Foster an engaged, accountable culture focused on identifying customer financial needs and recommending Wells Fargo solutions
  • Balance growth objectives with operational risk management to protect customers, employees, and the company
  • Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program unless currently serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager
  • Provide inclusive leadership, establish expectations, and manage performance through targeted coaching
  • Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions
  • Use branch manager routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to build team capability and productivity
  • Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners
  • Educate customers about digital options and demonstrate available banking technology
  • Use reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand primary bank relationships and wallet share
  • Manage risk, resolve issues, and model behaviors that protect customers, employees, and the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports
  • Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth
  • Ability to analyze performance, identify strengths and opportunities, and execute action plans
  • Independent judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments
  • Ability to identify complex financial needs and build strong customer, internal partner, and community relationships
  • Ability to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and digital banking solutions
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch
  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment
  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies, including financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background standards
  • Credit report may be reviewed and additional ongoing screening may apply
  • Position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
