About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and supervise teller-function risk and operations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and colleague experience
  • Ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance in teller functions

  • Apply regulations, policies, procedures, audit, and escalation requirements
  • Collaborate with branch employees, colleagues, and mid-level managers
  • Coach, motivate, and develop direct reports
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for branch operations
  • Mentor direct reports and assist with hiring
  • Assess customer needs and refer interested customers for dwelling-secured products to SAFE team members without taking applications or negotiating terms

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers or helping with issue resolution, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 1+ years of Leadership experience
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator positions
  • Must meet applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
  • Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Leadership skills including the ability to build, develop, and motivate a diverse work team
  • Strong customer service and complex customer issue resolution abilities
  • Customer service, operations, or financial services management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to educate customers about technology and mobile banking options
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking skills
  • Cash handling experience
  • Relevant military experience may include military protocol, personnel benefits management, military orders or transitions, wartime readiness, human resources, or recruiting
