About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and supervise teller-function risk and operations to deliver exceptional customer service and colleague experience
  • Ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance in teller functions
  • Provide feedback and ideas to improve customer service, colleague experience, performance management processes, and tools
  • Perform operational and customer support tasks
  • Provide customer service, engage customers, and build relationships
  • Manage teller-line scheduling and daily operations
  • Make decisions and resolve teller-line operational issues under regional banking management direction
  • Interpret applicable regulations, policies, procedures, audits, and escalation requirements
  • Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns and complaints
  • Collaborate with branch employees, colleagues, and mid-level managers
  • Interact directly with customers
  • Coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team of direct reports
  • Manage people and financial-resource allocation for branch operations
  • Mentor direct reports and assist with hiring talent
  • Assess customer needs and refer customers interested in dwelling-secured products to SAFE team members without taking applications or offering or negotiating transaction terms
  • Execute applicable credit, market, financial-crimes, operational, and regulatory-compliance risk programs
  • Follow Wells Fargo policies and procedures, escalate and remediate issues, and make sound risk decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience assessing and meeting the needs of customers or helping with issue resolution, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to build, develop, and motivate a diverse work team
  • Ability to provide strong customer service and resolve complex customer issues
  • Customer service, operations, or financial services management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to educate customers about technology and mobile banking options
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and employees
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking
  • Relevant military experience may include military protocol, personnel benefits management, human resources, recruiting, or leadership reporting
  • Cash handling experience
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator positions
  • Must meet financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
  • Must comply with ongoing regulatory requirements and additional screening, if necessary
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
