About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of low to moderately complex business clients, typically with $500K to $2MM in annual sales
  • Own the full client journey from onboarding through relationship deepening and new-client acquisition
  • Deliver a branded, client-centric experience that drives growth and positions Wells Fargo as a trusted partner
  • Understand and offer Wells Fargo financial solutions and digital services tailored to business-client needs
  • Analyze client operations, goals, and priorities to provide compliant financial recommendations
  • Advise clients on business accounts, credit, treasury services, and digital tools
  • Prospect and network with external and internal partners to generate referrals and grow the small-business customer base
  • Collaborate with internal banking channels to support business owners and gain the entire relationship
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and Lending Officers on complex structures and align with underwriting policies and risk guidelines
  • Assess customer needs and refer customers interested in dwelling-secured products to SAFE team members
  • Assist customers without taking applications or offering/negotiating dwelling-secured transaction terms
  • Follow applicable risk, compliance, regulatory, and Wells Fargo policy requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of financial services, sales, or customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • LO registration required at the time of employment
  • Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and related Wells Fargo policies
  • Must meet applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards
  • Must meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary
  • 2+ years of in-branch business banking experience (desired)
  • 1+ year of experience managing a dedicated book of small business customers across an assigned territory (desired)
  • Bilingual speaking and listening proficiency in Spanish/English (desired)
  • Proficient in sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining customer and colleague relationships (desired)
  • Experience providing financial services consultation to business customers using strong business acumen (desired)
  • Extensive knowledge of bank lending programs, credit policies, and specialty products (desired)
  • Ability to meet team objectives while maintaining individual performance (desired)
  • Ability to manage expectations and conduct customer and partner follow-ups (desired)
  • Customer service experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems (desired)
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention (desired)
  • Ability to educate customers about technology and mobile banking options (desired)
